Diary Event

We are aware that the current course conditions are impacting on the enjoyment of members.

Despite a new chemical being trialed; the increased production of Worm Casts has contributed to the current muddy conditions on the course.

Green Staff are putting in place extra precautions by roping off areas that require protection to try and reduce the impact this is having.

In addition, to reduce wear on the course and aid recovery, trolley markings have been introduced.

What else can I do?

• With the introduction of Rule 13.2a (Flagstick) – golfers no longer need to remove the flagstick whilst putting on the green. You can help protect the greens by limiting the amount the pin is attended.

• Teeing Area – ONLY one golfer on the tee at any time. Golfers should also limit the amount of practice swings taken on the tee. With the current ‘soft conditions’ this will help protect the teeing areas from unnecessary damage from scuffs and divots.

• Greens – Avoid walking in narrow areas between the bunker and green and worn areas on the green. Adhere to local rule 11, on back of scorecard.

• Preferred Lies – To help protect damaged fairways, members are permitted to move the ball ‘one club-length’.
This will also be permitted for Mens Competition Play; Competitions will be Non-Qualifying to accommodate.

Thank you for your cooperation
